"Forgiven and free," was first written and composed in 2014 in the kitchen of our little apartment in flagstaff. While I was satisfied with the melody and arrangement, the lyrics, I felt, was too light (when I first wrote it). The lyrics has gone through many rewrites and it was not until this year (2025) that I was satisfied with the lyrics and I hope the Lord too is satisfied with it. I thank Meci Masirewa Qata, Apikali Rabonu and my wife Ana Gucake for lending their talents to the recording of this song. Many thanks to the PLM studio for providing the tech support. All honor goes to God, through Jesus, for His sacrifice, the lyrics and the melody. "Forgiven and free" is one of my favorites. There is something about Calvary and the cross of Christ that draws my heart to its themes.
